Been on the island almost a week, and finally got spam musubi this morning

My big island multivitamin for the week. I cannot begin to describe how appropriate the name is, and how I feel after drinking it.

What perfect album came out the year you turned 16?

So many albums from 1991 to choose from, but this is the best choice.

@prophiphop.bsky.social While listening to your latest episode with Cxffeeblack, I made those Gullah chewies that got a shoutout, and they're outstanding.

Backshots for those interested.

Finally got my Pythona hat trick completed. What a great year it's been for us Cobra-La sickos, and here's hoping we get Golobulus (and the Thunder Machine) from GI Joe in 2026!

Look at these beautiful covers

On a scale of 1-10, these GI Joe imitation-Choose-Your-Own-Adventure book covers are a solid 75.

It's a pretty bizarre change from the OG Zartan, but I couldn't turn down the opportunity to grab this one. I'll be interested to see what the just-teased GI Joe Classified version of him looks like in 2026!

Had no idea this other version of Nemesis Enforcer/Immortal existed, but glad I found him at a local shop yesterday. I've always liked Lt. Falcon as a GI Joe, too.

Now I definitely want to try to find that Destro/Iron Grenadier pack shown on the back.

Here's one of the more odd pieces from my GI Joe collection: T.A.R.G.A.T. from Funskool India. I know nothing about him, but he's fun to keep around.

Here's another recent GI Joe acquisition I'm pretty pleased with. Xamot and Tomax, complete with box in remarkably great shape, but sadly not sealed. I still love these two goofs, though.

Been out of town for the last week, and this glorious sicko holy grail was waiting for me when I got home.

Incredible addition to my collection as I enjoy all the modern-day Cobra La stuff getting announced and released. Could not be happier.

Because what an amazing setlist...

If you can catch them on this tour, do it. Wish their merch offerings were better, though

This is my third time ever seeing them live, and they absolutely rocked it. The show opened with the Laura Palmer Theme, and "Happy No Kings Day, motherfuckers."

Garbage up in Spokane was amazing last night. Shirley Manson continues not fucking around with being awesome and outspoken. And the band has never sounded better.

Not sure what it is about Muskrat that I loved as a kid, but I did. And now I'm psyched to have him back. And look at all those dope GI Joe characters that came out in this wave!

More vintage, sealed G.I. Joe figures arrived today. Happy to have paid someone's mortgage payment (or two) for me to relive my childhood with some of my favorite figures.

The performed the entire Laid album, mixed in with other tracks from throughout their entire discography. I didn't take any photos during the actual show, because I was too busy grooving and singing along. I'd heard James was amazing live, but they're not just amazing; they're incredible.

Second concert of my 50th birthday prefunk weekend was @wearejames.bsky.social at The Bellwether. Got to meet up with high-school pals I haven't seen in more than 30 years, and got the VIP treatment with a 3-song soundcheck, Q&A with the whole band, and some sweet merch.
