#Networks with #government, #thinktanks etc for #Birmingham, one of the UK's great but dis-empowered #cities. I own my views but they are socially constructed.
Paddy stop dancing on a semantic pin. It’s boring. #newsnight

Another ridiculously biased anti-government analysis from Howard Davis - no mention of planning reforms, devolution, industrial strategy, ten year infrastructure plan and £100bn more investment. This country - its media and business are so short term it’s no wonder we’re in trouble. #r4today

The bibbysee talking about the bibbysee again 🙄 One good thing to come out of this - may be there’ll be less wall to wall coverage of Trump! #r4today

Much of the poison inside the BBC was inserted by Boris Johnson, who also tried to insert Michael Prescott into Ofcom.

The BBC is facing a coordinated, politically motivated attack. With these resignations, it has given in | Jane Martinson
The corporation should have stood up to the Telegraph, Trump and the Tories. Now, its enemies know how little it takes for it to fold, says Jane Martinson, professor of financial journalism

A weasel who works for GB News talking about bias at the BBC.
Cognitive dissonance at its finest.

Is Rees-Mogg saying that anyone who questions Trump is somehow suspect and that is a normal situation?? F off. #newsnight

Trump was impeached for inciting the riots and only rescued by partisan forces. Let’s get some perspective on this. And the programme spent way more time giving a voice to Trump supporters. As CNN man said, you have to stand up to a bully. And why is Rees-Mogg on?? #newsnight

As I feared, the Panorama incident is being used to make the BBC bias story just about left wing (or anti-Trump) bias. This helps those with a vested commercial or political interest in undermining it. As listeners to this programme will know, there are many examples of right wing bias! #r4today

#R4Today is talking about the horror of Sudan as if it hadn't ignored the war completely until ten days ago.

Did the previous government make a commons statement every time a prisoner was wrongly released? They would have had to do so every week #r4today

Did Tory Thatcher's privatised "shareholder Britain" improve our society?

How about:
- water and sewage
- ripoff energy prices
- rail and transport
- private housebuilders mean no more affordable council homes
- underfunded NHS in crisis
- 'academies', but crumbling schools

No Emma, the opposition weren’t “well briefed”. They said the released prisoner was an asylum seeker. That’s the kind of dangerous “error” that gets made when you speak too soon.

I don’t recall endless detailed media coverage of every justice system cock up under the previous government. #r4today

Here we go again. How dare the public sector get decent pensions when others have lost them? And trotting out the same old nonsense about public sector pay being higher than private sector - it depends what you compare with what! The RW think tanks are having a field day with Reform… #r4today

Justin Webb quasi-asserting that "people are coming to work looking for some way in which they are the victim" on the basis of...a single private conversation he had with someone who recently left university who complained about "victim culture". My mouth literally dropped open. #r4today

And we need rent controls again! #r4today
A reminder for #r4today We had rent control in the UK until Thatcher came along. We still have free travel for over 65s (over 60s in London).

Are we a "radical left-wing" country according to the BBC?
November 5, 2025 at 8:29 AM
What is Webb on about: apparently “almost all” university students and lecturers are searching for ways to be victims and that means most complaints of bad management in the workforce are just “victimhood”? Utter opinionated nonsense. 🙄 #r4today
