So, airlines add seasonal routes when things are busy enough... is there a site where I can see the route schedule?

For example Boston - Edinburgh direct is possible in the summer, but in January nobody's asking for it. I assume they have to plan in advance, is there a way I can see planned dates?

Does anyone know how to search for a post within a specific feed?

Say I have a feed that's all real human artists and I want to find cat drawings without having AI nonsense pop up... or say I have a feed that's all gift links and I want to find articles about a certain topic...

High-level LLM complaints (theft, energy usage) aside, I think this gets to my core complaint with LLM _output_.

I care about nuance. Regurgitated words in a technically valid pattern won't be nuanced unless the LLM understands the topic as well as I do, and LLMs don't understand anything.
I’ve played with LLMs a fair amount and noticed something that these studies that show using LLMs degrading intellectual performance may not be picking up: What if having pretty good critical thinking skills makes LLMs less appealing/satisfying to use in the first place?

Hey @awkwardandodd.bsky.social I'm touring the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland with a prospective harpist next week. Any favorite bookstores or places to wander in Glasgow?

I know you're not exactly local, but you're closer than anyone else I follow :)

@labsplaining.bsky.social finally followed up on that sourdough pane al cioccolato! Convection + cast iron combo made it a bit dark (plus ummm, not paying attention at the end of the bake) but inside it’s perfect 😋

Plenty of bad news today! Here’s an emergency strawberry tart with a graham cracker crust and surprisingly good vegan cream cheese layer.

(Emergency because I had strawberries going bad, not because of the state of the world, but I mean… eating it does make me feel a little better)

It would seem that we’re dead set on removing any actual struggle to comprehend from learning, but that struggle is the learning, otherwise we’re just memorizing opinions.

Note to self: Remember not to engage with the poorly informed overconfident contrarians.

We have polite disagreement bots and proudly ignorant loud humans here. I do not need to solve that puzzle, I will not convince either to change. Block, breathe, support someone else.

Ugh once again, “require alt text” has been turned off, and “auto play videos and gifs” has been turned on, due to some app upgrade or other behind the scenes nonsense.

Disabling my accessibility choices because you’re lazy with your code is a bit revealing, bsky team.

I think there's a big difference between what people think of when they hear about Bluesky blocking, and what it actually means in practice for most of us. So I made a diagram.

Went to turn off autoplay for video (Settings -> Accessibility) and discovered the "require alt text on images" setting was no longer enabled. Worth a check if you care!

@gruber.foo odd issue with the daringfireball feed - blockquotes seem to include \n linebreaks. Ex:

"tab labeled Ideas with a\nlightbulb icon"

which renders as "with alightbulb icon" in feedly.

I see the \n in the raw JSON feed, but I'm subscribed to the XML one. May just be a feedly issue?
