We couldn’t afford a stadium 2 years ago at a cost of $750m (++). We can’t afford it today at $1.13billion (++) and we won’t be able to afford it late next year when contracts are signed for maybe $1.5billion (++). And the ++ is in the order of at least $350m (that we know of). #nonewstadium

If you are surprised by the constant spectacular incompetence of the Tasmanian state government, look into the history of the Tamar Cut and the Ralph's Bay Canal.
Imagine if the Tasmanian government tried to construct a stadium in Hobart. It would be completed extremely late, the cost would blow out significantly, and there would be many “unforeseen” problems. #nonewstadium
