Of course Starmer has made mistakes but his mistakes didn't cost 20,000 lives, destroy our public services, leave our armed forces living in squalid housing, make us a laughing stock on the global stage and ruin our relationship with the EU. 14 years of misrule can't be fixed in 19 months.

Multimillionaire Brexiter, Tim Martin, urges pubs to back Reform. Just like he urged the country to vote for Brexit. Too bad if it makes you poorer. Too bad for the children he’ll push back into poverty. Tim wants more money. And he couldn’t give a shit about the cost for everybody else.

I don't do party politics on here and you can have your own opinion of Starmer - good or bad - but what is undeniably the case is that Westminster journalists became massively invested in a hyped-up narrative of their own devising and debased political commentary in so doing.

The media are launching a Trumpian style attack on the PM, in an attempted 'coup' to unseat him. If it succeeds, it will prove that private power is stronger than the democratic state and that's why it must fail. Starmer must stand firm.

Another Trump-free rundown of the Epstein Files from BBC News. Funny how those mentioned most - Trump, Farage (41 times) - somehow have invisibility cloaks while Starmer (zero mentions) is tarred by every revelation. #r4today

As always, we see Starmer take decisions in the UK's best interest.

The world is a bloody tough place right now. There are no easy decisions. But he always tries to do what's right.
