Here is the latest update on this Labour government's achievements (including the Autumn Budget 2025):

This government has Nationalised the railways and British Steel, allowed for locally owned buses, created GB Energy, the National Wealth Fund, and created the National Housing Bank.

It's not a high drama budget, though some commentators are screeching that it is a far left tax raid on working people. Again and again, people get upset if public services aren't there for them then are furious when they're expected to contribute.

This is a long and laudable list and what is in the media? - tax goes up and Starmer out. Let's hope people see the improvements in their lives and in services and come to the right conclusion. Do I think this government is perfect - definitely not - do I fear an alternative - definitely.
What spending was announced / funded / committed to in the 2025 Budget?

It's a long list - and likely incomplete, so will add more if I hear of them!

+ recommits to £120bn public investment across the Parliament

+ doubling local roads funding - now over £2bn

Budget Day, and I'm confident that although it probably won't go as far as I would want it to in taxing the fantastically rich, it will do something. I hope there's something that helps people live in safe, secure, affordable homes. Just now the housung is problematic from top to bottom.

Interesting to see so many great British patriots right now begging an American president to bankrupt one of Britain’s last remaining truly national institutions.

Labour delivering on the economy, child protection and speeding up Windrush payments. It’s just in a week’s work for Labour only you don’t hear about it in the amplification of our Media for RW politics. This is what left wing politics means. Every day!

Reform UK in Kent was supposed to be the flagship, their ‘shop window’.

Leader Linden Kemkaran has created chaos, losing 7 councillors since May, DOGE finding little and being declared a failure, and is considering raising council tax.

For those who regularly tell me Labour are just Tory lite. They really aren’t. You’re being mugged off by the media who want you to believe that . I can give you multiple examples like this to prove my point. But this is worth a read esp if you’re outside London.

Reform doesn’t have many policies. But it has one :

to cut public spending by £274bn.

That’s more than five times Liz Truss's unfunded tax measures.

🧵on Michelle Mone and Covid contracts

Former Tory peer Michelle Mone has called today’s ruling that PPE Medpro must give the taxpayer back £122m for supplying dodgy PPE an ‘establishment cover-up’. Utter nonsense.

Let’s ignore the rhetoric & look at the facts 👇
UK government wins £122m pandemic case against Michelle Mone-linked firm over faulty PPE
Trial heard 25m surgical gowns supplied by PPE Medpro to protect NHS staff were unusable and could ‘seriously harm or kill patients’
