Trusty is a friendly handsome fella who came in as he was left at a vets. He'd been a stray that kept coming into their home. Can be hand-shy around fast movements so may have been mistreated. He loves his comfy bed. ❤️ More: shorturl.at/NTxoc #adoptdontshop #rescuecats #northwales #northwestengland

I love the "Prosecutions for fare evasion on the Tube are at their highest level for six years" bit. I wonder what could have happened 5-6 years ago that would have caused fare evasion to decline so steeply?!?

And more than this. Extra funding for SEN especially in deprived areas. Protections in the Renting sector. Better links with Europe and young people (for starters). Changes in school curriculum. Safety measure in place to protect kids online. Go and look on the Gov's website. 1 YEAR/3 MONTHS!!

Since then:
• 24% rise in enforced removals
• 12% rise in the number of foreign criminals removed

"I live in a county with a Reform UK council"

"Most of them had no idea what the country council did"

"They fought on the promise of reducing waste and council tax"

"And they just put up the council tax by the max"

OBR happy! Where's the headline?
Are you still paying these journo shit-stirrers? Rachel Reeves got a better-than-expected OBR update, cutting the £20bn fiscal hole. Income tax hikes aren’t needed, strong receipts give £15–20bn headroom, while thresholds may fall and salary sacrifice taxes rise. Source: Bloomberg

There was absolutely NOTHING in the Chancellors press conference to suggest income tax was going up.

That was the media.

Again.

Going into it believing it was going up a coming out of it repeating the claim.

I never thought it was going up before & didn't think it after.

This is the clip the Chancellor put out after her press conference.

It is therefore obvious this was the key message she wanted people to take away.

Where in this message do we get the idea of income tax rises?

@mrjamesob.bsky.social
Here is a short message the Chancellor wants you to take away from her speech today, rather than the nonsense put out by the media.

"A budget that protects the NHS, reduces our debt and improves the cost of living.

A budget that puts your priorities first.

An economy that works for everyone."

Oh @mrjamesob.bsky.social

I feel this is going to be another hour this week which I am going to be screaming at you for jumping on the media bandwagon rather than listening to what we have heard the Chancellor and PM publicly say.

Which has NEVER had them saying ANYTHING about income tax rises.
