Unite has welcomed the news that the government will cover special educational needs and disabilities deficits - worth £5billion.

Rising demand for SEND support has left councils struggling to balance budgets and racking up large deficits. Govt will now write off 90% of the deficits up to 2025-26.

Support for Starmer has been very high.

Anger against the BBC Politics trio Mason, Kuensberg & Zefferman has been equally high.

I think we must vote with our off switch as well as Complain in writing. If that doesn’t work we must cancel our TV Licence.

Since #bbclaurak is trending, let’s remind ourselves that ONE MONTH ago, the BBC invited Mandelson on for a soft-ball interview on her show. While HIS CLIENT , Palantir’s Louis Moseley appeared as a pundit

Both, as I wrote at time, were ‘abject failures of journalism’

Kuenssberg expects PwC due diligence from leaders while she displays the probing skills of a cat with a ball of wool when questioning the same people she's now appalled weren't found out earlier.

The gulf between how good she thinks she is, and how good she is, straddles universes. #bbclaurak

Eight of my 20 years at the Post were spent on Metro, which was the heart and soul of the Post under the legendary @dongrahamdc1. The undertakers now running the paper have all but wiped out the metro staff, leaving just 12 reporters, according to reports, to cover a region of 6.5 million people.
Much of the mourning for the late great @washingtonpost has rightly focused on how democracy dies in darkness at the national level, which is hugely important. But the evisceration of Metro is every bit as devastating because there is no comparable news outlet keeping local institutions honest.

Much like its coverage saying Nigel Farage’s 17 MP code of conduct breaches were ‘inadvertent’, the BBC says Donald Trump ‘didn’t see’ the deeply racist part of his post.

He also said he didn’t make a mistake posting it, but why headline that bit eh #BBCNews? Stop cowering to corrupt racists!!
