it's actually simpler than that. they think trans people don't exist, that it's all a delusion. because they don't approve of trans people (or gay ppl, etc), they think we should be shunned until we are pushed out of the public eye or die. that's why they want to deny us treatment or affirmation
This is the entire fulcrum of the anti-trans movement. Every random person believes they have the right to weigh in on "care" and what is psychologically and medically best for kids and even other adults, and for some reason governments have decided this is rational.

Took me a bit to process how big a deal this report actually is--its thus far the only review to look at the entire body of currently available research. It took two years to conduct, stands at 1,000 pages, and completely contradicts the Cass Review and the common arguments for bans on this care.
