Rural America needs investment, not imperialism.

I wrote about how Trump's expansionist agenda will hurt rural communities across our country, and how it is the boys and girls of rural America who will pay a disproportionate price for his imperial wars

New— An American citizen boarding flight from Boston to Lisbon just now told me after showing boarding pass, every passenger stopped on jetway by two ICE agents demanding to take their photo. When passenger asked why, ICE threatened to detain them. If they said no photo, couldn't board/TBD detained.

Our students’ reliance on AI on assignments rather than relying on original thought is disconcerting.

Demanding a list of Jewish staff is appalling and should be treated like the dangerous threat that it is.

It’s notable that the president can go on TV and be a total gutter racist, and somehow this isn’t news in the slightest. Says a lot about the sickness of American society right now.
Trump: "They're paid agitators and insurrectionists. Nobody talks about the fact that $19 billion at a minimum is missing in Minnesota, given to a large degree by Somalians. They've taken it. Somalians. A lot of very low IQ people."

This is an odd way to talk about somebody whose nomination is still pending before the Senate. I mean, sure, she's obviously not going to be confirmed, in part b/c blue slips and also she's insane. But it's still strange to concede defeat on a nomination that hasn't actually been withdrawn.
Lindsey Halligan was unlawfully pretending to be a U.S. attorney from day one. Yet another embarrassment for the Trump DOJ. Good riddance.

Given how this country worships law enforcement, these numbers are better than I might have hoped. Still far too low. But encouraging
77 percent of Democrats want to abolish ICE.

The Liberal Democrats get a lot of flack, including plenty from me over the years. One thing I credit them with, though, that many people simply didn't or don't is that they are extremely principled; they take the "liberal" in their party name seriously

Ed Davey has really impressed me lately
"The most corrupt president The United States have ever seen."

UK Member of Parliament Ed Davey does not mince words when characterizing Trump after his move to take Greenland.

When you consider there are only about, what, not even 60k people in Greenland, the fact that *thousands* are rallying is just remarkable
Thousands rally in Greenland’s capital, chanting “Greenland is not for sale,” after Trump doubled down on the US initiative to takeover the country. The protests are the largest in the nation’s history.

Americans aren't listening to anyone. We go to the grocery, see the prices higher and raising each time. We can compare years of Walmart orders and see the inflation with our own eyes!

This is something only a rich person who never goes to the grocery could believe
Q: “Are average Americans wrong to still feel high prices?”

Trump: “I think a lot of people are listening to the fake news a little bit. And I'm not blaming anybody. I blame ourselves. I think we've done a much better job than we're able to promote.”

This is not strictly true. Democrats can't do anything now, I agree, but we can't wait an entire year for elections to play out

It is time to pressure retiring Republicans in the House and Senate to defect and caucus with the Democrats, throwing them the majority now. Not in November. NOW
Murray says in her statement "the hard truth is that Democrats must win political power to enact the kind of accountability we need."

Carney: "American hegemony in particular helped provide public goods, a stable financial system... this bargain no longer works. Let me be direct. We are in the midst of a rupture, not a transition... recently, great powers have begun using economic integration as a weapon. Tariffs as leverage ... "
