I was born in Queens in the 1960s and even back then it was the most diverse place in the world, due to the beauty of immigration. New York has always been an amazing mix of people, languages, culture, and food.

Why go to college if not to learn to think critically and to gather knowledge that you carry in your own brain? If AI does your “research” and creates your outline and writes your paper, congratulations- you’ve used a bunch of energy to learn nothing.
I love to see stuff like this because it helps explain to people trapped in tech-sponsored information bubbles the actually obvious fact that universities teach people to know & think things, and AI is a way to produce the effect of knowing & thinking things w/o actually knowing & thinking them.

We also know from studies over decades that combining vaccines leads to fully vaccinated kids. Getting a parent to bring a kid in for one visit can be a challenge. It takes time and a copay. Imagine having to bring your kid in for three times as many visits!
It's easy to think--at least he's telling families to vaccinate their kids. But the effect will be lower vaccination rates. Why?
Those who already avoid vaccines will see this as validating their extra caution. And some on the fence will now try to delay/spread out shots and end up skipping some.

It’s impossible to imagine the devastation that 40 inches of rain will bring. We are truly in a climate crisis.
Hurricane Melissa which is en route to decimate Haiti and Jamaica rapidly intensified to category 4 storm. Rapid intensification is a hallmark of climate change, but that category is only a measure of its wind speed. It is also expected to bring up to 40 inches of rain
