I also disagree with the notion that we need republican-lite Dems for rural areas. I live in one and everyone here wants what people in NYC want - affordable housing, good public schools, civil rights, letting people live how they want (lgbtq included), child care assistance, etc.

Only the most sadistic and cruel people would arrest a teacher at their school in front of children. The only point here is to terrorize kids along with the adults.

I know people who have friends from old campaigns - even up to 40 year long friendships. It’s a good way to meet people who share your values.
