I think I've found a way to articulate what bothers me about the trajectory of the modern tech industry (and to some extent... society).
We are on this Earth to provide for each other. That's the "mission" of humanity as I see it.
This is incompatible with what the tech industry seeks to do.

I don't know what gamer bros need to hear this, but women and girls playing The Sims are not, and I say again, NOT, playing it like it's a dress up doll simulator. They're out there making Jigsaw look like a rolemodel. They make GTA Online players seem stable.

After I moved to Canada a couple of years ago I realized that I was no longer constantly running a massive stress routine in the background of my mind worrying about health care and guns. It was weirdly noticeable only when it stopped.
