Honestly now I'm thinking a lot about the art of adaptation, how you can change things between the mediums (like, from book to movie, etc.) but there need to be certain things that remain the same.

Romantasy authors stop referring to fae as "males" or "females" challenge level: impossible.
I kind of understand where it comes from (fae aren't human, therefore not "men and women") but damn I hate it.
