So many in media are ill-equipped to interview officials about what’s happening because they begin with the presumption of legitimacy and don’t know enough about history or U.S. foreign policy to foment intelligent pushback and hold officials accountable.

Runes are NOT a closed practice. They may be culturally specific to Germanic/Nordic magical cultures, but this is not a CLOSED practice.
This also means that people can absolutely develop new ways of working with them that blends their culture with the runes.
