I still haven't got used to ribbon menus so this confirms my status as a fossil.
The distance in time between now and when Microsoft Office replaced drop down menus with the ribbon bar at the top is the same as the distance between then and the fall of the Berlin Wall

I don't think I've ever felt as broken from a tech problem as I do now. Two hours trying everything I can think of to transfer my son's minecraft worlds off his (kids profile) amazon fire.

Even as someone who recalls Joe Marlers record, it was hard not to feel it watching his heart break in full public view.

Wait what. People don't join professional services firms in the expectation of staying on a graduate wage.

The British public implicitly believe if that if you are renting with £1m in the stock market you are wealth and if you take that money and buy your flat for £1m you suddenly have zero wealth. That’s bizarre and funny!!!

I was opening a bunch of PDFs in acrobat yesterday and my computer's fans were going wild. I have a lot of RAM so this was surprising to me. Turns out Acrobat now generates AI summaries by default when you open a file, instead of just asking if you want one (which I never do).

Companies with a more expensive cost of capital should fund those with cheaper access to capital. To prevent harm to the economy.

Obviously.
Put off paying your bills for the sake of the economy.

Facial recognition isn't my strength but come on - two of the three guys in the foreground have the same jowly face don't they?
Don’t think these Texas National Guard guys are going to be chasing any immigrants around Chicago on foot

Late to this, but exempting crypto firms from an over-arching obligation to act with integrity and take due regard to the best interests of customers is quite on the nose.

"We"? Thalidomide was licensed from 1957 to 1961, when it was taken off the market.
That 3 years before Farage was born, and it happened when the "light touch" regulation he supports was in place.

Nigel Farage says he has 'no idea' if Donald Trump is right about paracetamol being linked to autism.

Not the point, but how can making paracetamol be a notable part of a listed company's revenue? It costs pennies.
to be clear, KVUE has gotten SMOKED by this crusade. But the fact shares are *up* as the President slags their product on TV is a good example of how markets are forward looking (eg expectations were for a WORSE outcome than what we're getting)
