The subject of "full playthroughs of escape rooms" came up in a Discord I'm in, and I didn't actually have those archival links in a convenient place. So, time for a (somewhat slowly updated) thread!

Everyone get real excited -- huge huge news -- @heavyweight.bsky.social is coming back. I am so so excited, I can't begin to tell you. Also, I am here to tell you that Jonathan Goldstein is the rare human being who is exactly like he is on the radio IRL. He's humble, kind, curious, and so so funny.

Pushkin Industries, the podcast company that will release the show, is betting that documentary-style audio programs can still win an audience.

I played The Purple Pearl, a two-player escape room text adventure, and now I wish there were more multiplayer parser games. It takes about an hour to set things up and play over voice chat with a friend. If the format sounds interesting, give it a try! amanda-walker.itch.io/the-purple-p...

After decades of searching for a form of exercise I don't hate, I have discovered...PILATES.

My doctor recommended it to me years ago, but it seemed like a fad for a certain type of person that I'm not. Turns out trying to keep your body from falling apart from disuse is good no matter who you are!

And there is just nothing cooler than people like this.

Every time I question whether it's worth it to spend time making games with things as they are, I remind myself why I do it: to empower people and expand their ideas of what's possible. Games are great at that, and it's very important, and relevant, and something worth improving at.
