Okay I just finished Sakura-Hime. A really good read despite the fact that Tanemura really needed more space (and freedom) to do what she wanted with the series. If she'd been able to do what she wanted it'd be a stronger story but I still enjoyed it. Up next I'm reading Oresama Teacher
Here's what manga I read in october!

Guess who actually managed to read some stuff in September. INCLUDING finishing TWO series from my TBR (and dropping another.)

Tonight I'm going to finish Sakura-Hime. And frankly I think it's a testament to Tanemura's strength as a writer that this is as engaging as it is. There is a lot in it that could have and probably should have been developed more.

First Drop of the year. Genuinely there was just nothing I was interested in, the romance bored me, the premise bored me, the only interesting character was the psychic best friend and she was barely in it. Up next I'm reading Sakura Hime: the Legend of Princess Sakura.

Probably no one in mainstream media is going to fully investigate/explain what groypers (and their divisions) are because it’s not in their interest to. I know about it from being a target due to their intersections with historical denialists on socials. rachelandthecity.substack.com/p/when-catch...

RFK Jr: We had lots of guns when we were kids. Kids brought guns to school and were encouraged to do so. And nobody was walking into schools and shooting people. There are many things that could explain this. One is the dependence on psychiatric drugs.

Finished Drowning Love. 1000/10, a masterpiece really. The art was incredible, the character's were so masterfully written, the story was so beautifully crafted. It really is as good as everyone says it is. Wish I could collect it physically. Next I'm reading ReRe: Hello

I read some manga in August. Not a lot, but some.

Meredith needs to catch a break. GENUINELY upset that she finally opened herself up to a relationship post derek just to have that snatched from her.

Like I know Meredith doesn't leave the show when the new interns come in, but I do really think that they should have made Jo more of a deuteragonist, like she very easily could have been the "meredith" of her generation of interns, and I think the show would be stronger for it.

people on food assistance should be able to get a soda, hot food, a birthday cake from the bakery, or whatever the hell they want. other people's food choices are none of your business.

you should want your food-insecure neighbors to have the same freedom of choice that you do!

look. i’m not an april kepner fan. and she should have told jackson about the second pregnancy before the divorce because that’s when custody should be addressed. but also arizona shouldn’t have told jackson she was pregnant. like that is on april not her.

well I am caught up to everything that's been translated for kashoku no shiro so far and I'd say that so far it's a pretty interesting supernatural manga. I do wish they'd develop the MLI more but tbf it's only been 25 chapters. I'd say it's worth a read if you like supernatural historical manga.

Amelia Shepherd is such a great teacher and doctor, and like the world's worst sister-in-law.

This man has selective hearing. I love it when two people will basically say they’re in love with each other and they cannot hear each other say it.

My 8-year-old made their own version of the game Life, and it's way more accurate than the original. The path is convoluted. The rules change on a whim (but always in favor of the game's creator). The real estate is outlandishly expensive. The jobs pay either $9K or $999,999K. The goal is unclear.

2 volumes into Kashoku no Shiro and I'm enjoying it so far, I feel like volume 2 is really when it starts to hit it's stride with world building with demons, demon's brides and demon hunters, so I'm really interested in seeing where it goes next. Though there's only 2 more volumes translated.

if there's one thing about grey's anatomy it's that it consistently portraying LGBTQ+ characters on the show with empathy and compassion and frankly at times with empathy and compassion that was like far ahead of it's air date.
