Public defender. Movies/TV/figure skating/dumb celeb stuff. I usually like things I don’t hate.
Weird timeline.
The attorney general and the FBI director, a manosphere podcaster bro, pulled into the situation room a member of Congress best known for getting kicked out of a Beetlejuice musical for drunkenly giving her date a handy, in order to pressure her about the president's child sex trafficking scandal.

Wait. Did the Epstein files get released while I was in trial?

Finished closing arguments on the first trial I have gotten to the finish line in 6 years. I forgot how exhilarating it is, even while also being completely exhausting (once it’s over and the adrenaline goes away lol). I really am a trial lawyer.

"They want everyone to know these thugs they’ve deployed to terrorize cities are battle-hardened and impervious to pain. But in court, they're such delicate flowers that if they are, say, lightly grazed by a sandwich, they are entitled to justice because of the horrific assault they have suffered."

If you have to accept that greed is human nature and we should organise around it, you also have to accept that people begging for food wanting to set fire to trillionaires is also human nature.

Seven strikes. Thirty-two dead. Zero indictments.

Black American soldiers literally dug these WWII graves. Traumatic. To acknowledge that fact at a cemetery they helped construct is something the Heritage Foundation cannot accept. As Veterans Day approaches, never forget that this country both compels and disrespects Black military service. Always.
1/ The US Government has quietly removed a memorial to Black soldiers who died in World War II from the Netherlands American Cemetery in Margraten, South Limburg. The move follows a complaint from the right-wing Heritage Foundation to the American Battle Monuments Commission. ⬇️

Whenever people complain about the number of folks relying on food stamps, it is worth reminding them that SNAP is, by too large of a degree, a subsidy for corporations that refuse to pay a living wage and their political allies who reject public policy prescriptions to reduce income inequality.

Finished S2 of Nobody Wants This and overall enjoyed it, but nothing is ever as good of the getting together part of romcoms so it suffers a little in comparison to S1.

Fun side note: I 100% clocked the season finale location as the Academy museum just from their initial elevator ride!

While Harvey Weinstein has a history of well-documented flaws, including ones that drove him from his company and sent him to prison, decades as an studio executive producing financially successful and Oscar-winning films proves that he is a competent executive who could well do the job of CEO.
