I would note that beginning in 1993 under Bob Dole, the Republican Senate adopted a policy of complete non-cooperation with Democratic Presidents, which Scott McConnell perfected.

Unfortunately, the only thing that got undone was the taxing capital gains at the same rate as ordinary income under G. H.W. Bush. Clinton did undo some it in '93. Also, since 1981 their has only been 6 years of Democratic trifectas in power

I don't think any of these people read the Gospels or any part of the New Testament. Particularly, Matthew Chapter 25 (think sheep & goats).
This is Dinesh D'Souza's daughter. As D'Souza is trying to figure out why his allies are spending so much time bashing immigrants from India, he might spend 1.2 milliseconds reading things like this and thinking about how they might represent something more widespread.

He got out after 3 months in an ICE gulag.
My electrician is a green card holder who's been here since he was a kid. He got married to a citizen, applied for citizenship, went to court for the papers and when he got there ICE kidnapped him and he's been locked up for a month.

It should never be forgotten that this guy evaded the Vietnam War era draft due to "bonespurs" & that he has destroyed the security system created by the World War II vets.
If I were a post-democratic state sinking into a fascist swamp, I think a monument to the gilded liberty only straight white Christian males are likely to ever enjoy would be right on brand.
