Apparently, no one has told Jeff about cosmic rays and the solar wind.

Like Atrios, I wonder if the NYT will start to run stories day after day about the destruction of the White House & the resumption f foreign aid when it bails out friendly hedge fund managers.

How did my cat end up in this post! Prince Little wants to have a word!

Regarding Trump's deployment of Federal military to "stop crime," in Portland, Los Angeles, & Chicago, I note, although no one in the Administration, the SCOTUS Sinister Six, the MAGA members of in Congress, or the MSM media for that matter seem concerned with it, this action is unconstitutional.

We will see how the tone changes when if this part of the story, that the targets were the detainees/immigrants, holds up.

Just a few days before Kirk was shot, this was Loomer calling him a traitor.

Apparently, no one taught Navarro about the Panic of 1893 and subsequent recession triggered by the McKinley Tariff.

I really like to hear from the 16% of Black male voters who thought Trump was the better candidate in 2024 over Harris.

Regarding Tom Ricketts and "just breaking even," this is how much he charges, at the economy rate for just showing up at "the Friendly Confines." At least when Wrigley was running the team on the cheap, the price for attendance matched the product.

Really, NYT writers, stop being stenographers for your sources. This is one of the biggest whoppers every written in the NY Times in the Trump era. Does the NYT have a policy against its writers checking stuff on Wikipedia?

Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins demonstrating the number 1 requirement to serve the Trump II Administration is putting one's lips firmly on his ass.

The apparatchiks of the MAGA Administration know that all they have to do stay employed is please "Dear Leader" in some way every day, so attention to details is no longer part of the job description.

Adam Vermeule has a post up on his substack that denounces critics of the Trump administration for punishing attorneys & firms that opposed him, first with a "what about'ism." It would be more honest for him to state he supports the actions because they establish the Oligarchic Christianist regime.

Eventually, I will write an article about why I think the United States has ended up in this self-imposed disaster, destroying itself, as Abraham Lincoln prophesied in his Lyceum speech of 1837.

From Lael Brainard's Washington Post Article. The one point I will disagree with her on is that even the upper classes will suffer in the economic crash Trump & Musk are provoking. www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/202...

Do you mean they are ideological hacks? From the legal realist school, which holds that the law is a sociological function of its time, Furman & others concoct their opinions to serve the interests of their causes. One should not be surprised by their bad faith. See P. Campos at LGM blog.

We are now probably beyond authoritarianism into a quasi-dictatorship with Trump as institutions treat his Executive Orders as law & people being picked off streets for their speech. www.doomsdayscenario.co/p/america-s-...

It is somewhat amazing that the Directorate of National Intelligence is claiming a "free speech" right to post Russian Propaganda on her personal account, while the administration she is a part of is abducting off the street permanent resident aliens for the op eds they write.

And she is 80 going on 81 and this happened today at the hearing where she was the ranking member. And before you go off on me being "Ageist," I'm 69 going on 70 and my plan is to retire by the end of the year to read, and perhaps write, books.

Daniel Drezner kind sums of the "accomplishments" of the Trump/Musk Administration after 60 days. Quite a lot (without even discussing the destruction of the NIH and NSF), and I note that he uses a very technical term at the end of his Substack piece:
