amazon executives should be tried and the company should be severely fined for the aws outage. they get so much profit from and power over the internet and they should suffer the consequences when their tech eats shit.

If your company having an outage can take down half the internet then your company needs to be broken up.
Do you have any extremely niche, but serious, ethical stances?

this aws outage further concludes that the centralization of the internet is a massive mistake and should be reversed. why is one host having massive issues taking down like half the internet.

What caused the AWS outage - and why has it made the internet fall apart?

An over-centralisation and dependency on a single supplier, that’s what.

I bet many CIOs will now be reviewing their hosting solution.

I'm glad AWS suffered that global outage. Because it'll also put in perspective just how many websites they run on their servers. Damn near got a monopoly on the internet.

The AWS outage just shows why centralization is a bad idea and why the internet needs to go back to "Web 1.0" era where everyone was scattered to the winds.

You SHOULD have more than 3 websites to type into your browser URL bar. That's a GOOD thing.

When one outage (Amazon today) disrupts banks, education, gaming & transit, it’s not just downtime—it’s fragility. The Internet is the first global critical infrastructure, but consolidation makes it brittle.

The AWS outage exposes again that “the cloud” isn’t magic, it’s infrastructure. The issue isn’t a cyberattack, it’s architectural over-reliance on a handful of cloud giants. We centralized the internet and then made our entire lives dependent on it.

I'm glad the hostages have been returned and many Palestinians have been freed as well. Its a big deal.

But Palestinians are still occupied and this extremist Israeli government has said they're going to take Gaza and everything from the river to the sea.

Just a matter of time this explodes.

How long before Israel continues its stated goal of taking everything?

Before Trump leaves or right after?

They're going to say Hamas failed to bla bla bla and use that as an excuse.

You don't owe Trump anything.

He's a reckless moron always being played by Netanyahu who will continue to occupation and destruction of the Palestinian people.

People need to be remember that every bad thing that happens to someone from the flotilla has been done 100x over (and much much worse) to the Palestinians every day for the past 85 years.
An Israeli prison guard deliberately slammed a metal door on the already broken leg of a 70-year-old Scottish woman who was abducted from the flotilla.

Torture.
