I will say it till I kick it myself, but among the things I heard most after Mira passed was ‘I wish I had told her’. give the flowers & start the friendships now
man, share the memories you have about your people now. don't wait; just, like make that a regular thing. tell them why they matter to you all the fucking time. and tell them beautifully, poetically, the way you would reminisce about them. because that beauty is important.

a change in my communication style about a decade ago, when a lot of things were shifting in my life, was to frequently, fluidly detail this kind of thing to folks. this year, i adopted a policy of thank you notes (largely by mail) for basically everything. connective tissue

Saw a thread on table displays the other day, & while I did reply to that directly, I thought it would be fun to do a thread on it, too. Learn from my mistakes!

Call for trans zine recommendations: my Trans Studies students are going to be doing a unit on zines next month, and one activity we're doing is looking at as many physical zines as I can get my hands on. If you know of cool trans zines that ARE PURCHASABLE ON PAPER, please let me know!!!

I kicked in to support my friend's cool movie and you can too!
The teaser trailer for By Time You See Me There Will Be Nothing Left, my directorial debut about a messy t4t serial killer couple, being a mentally ill cripple, and living in California in 2025, it’s a very depressing fucked up little movie and I can’t wait to show to yall (kickstarter below)

As both an attendee and organizer of zine, zinelibrary and rad events, there is so much for us to do still to make the days-of awesome for all.
