I've been working on a network of webrings to connect people's hobby sites! I have multiple lines that I visualize as subway lines, so I call it the Smallweb Subway!

Every station is someone's website. You can explore it here:

I bought a cheap, lightweight guillotine cutter the other day and it brings me joy, mingled with a frisson of fear. The heavier-duty ones were always in classrooms, and we were always given dire warnings about amputation risk. It's not the most dangerous object in the house, but it *feels* like it.

This past week, I did an absolutely terrible job of reviewing a master and learned that color copies on cardstock do not fold as well as expected. Fortunately, these errors were for the same (very tiny) job, thus only rising to the level of "slight inconvenience."

'measles outbreak at the child prison' seems entirely avoidable, it's really the kind of thing that only happens if you do several unthinkably evil things on purpose all at once

Oh, yeah, since some amount of national shutting down is occurring today...please don't buy this or anything else from the shops today.

With this update, you can now download Scope Creep zines from the virtual library. It's another option for discovery and access.

Feeling very distracted this morning, but I still (finally) managed to set up a Fourthwall shop. Folks can now order physical zines!

(I think. Haven't finished kicking the tires yet.)

I still have not gotten shit sufficiently together to set up online sales for physical zines, but you can get yourself pay-what-you-want downloads of a minizine how-to, microfiction, and zine template.

Sigh. Right after releasing a zine that mentions SFWA as a good source of information for writers, the organization embraced LLM works for the Nebula Awards. They quickly backtracked, but still...

SFWA does have some good resources online, but at this point maybe think twice about joining.

Trying to guess if the Calibri hate is down to the word "Roman" or accessibility.

Calibri hadn't been on my radar as particularly accessible, beyond being a sans serif font (so, like, presumptively better than TNR, but not, say, a Comic Sans).

And it is slightly ironic to promote itch at the same time as working on a FOSS itch replacement. (Okay, that's a bit of a simplification of conjured.ink. But still.)

First minizine's been on the website as a free download, and is now also on itch. Enjoy!

Went to the Philly Zine Fest. Bought some stuff, added some zines to the freebie bin, gave some copies to a couple zine libraries. Great day to be walking around the city.
