We knew this 50 years ago and it's just as true today. Computers are a million times more powerful and 0% more accountable for the bad decisions of their operators.
Campaign for office but the only platform is "Use oversight powers to go to all the concentration camps and tell people what I see until I physically implode in despair."

My colleague got into Trump's sprawling family detention camp, which is full of toddlers, kids, & teens.

- Kids have cut themselves or talked about suicide

-There's worms & mold in food

-300 kids have been held for 30+ days, far longer court settlement allows

This Tweet is making the rounds: "Nearly every ambitious person I know who has dived into AI is working harder than ever, and longer hours than ever.

Fascinating dynamic tbh.

I have NEVER worked this hard, nor had this much fun with work."

I'm in this Tweet.

NEW: A baby held in immigration detention became so sick, she had to be rushed to a hospital in severe respiratory distress.

“She was at the brink of dying,” a lawyer told me.

But the girl didn’t go home after her 10-day hospital stay; instead, ICE put her and her mother back in lock up at Dilley.
Toddler hospitalized with respiratory failure was returned to ICE detention without prescribed medication, lawsuit says
The 18-month-old was sent back to a South Texas facility after days in intensive care with severe respiratory distress, according to a federal lawsuit.

Simulation-ass reality.
I'm sorry the guy changing the rules on the fly is named what
I stand with County Executive Calvin Ball as he signs emergency legislation today prohibiting privately owned buildings from being used as ICE detention centers.

Howard County chose dignity, accountability, and its people. Tune into our event now:

Again, no punishment harsh enough. A hundred years from now it should still be clear that everyone who created these policies were monsters, and repeating this mistake will follow you until the end of your days.
This is Maria, a 6-year-old detained by ICE last year.

She began to unravel soon after arriving at a detention center in Texas, wetting the bed after years without accidents, crying through the night and begging to breastfeed again.

Most of all, she wanted to be reunited with her cat, Milo. 1/

Strong end to 2026, folks. Really went through a lot this year, but we made it. Hopefully 2027 goes smoother.

Apparently Epstein was actually the main character of this story and we're the side characters.

Claude Code now actively manages memory files by default and injects the main memory file (up to 200 lines) into its system prompt. Pretty consistent about editing it too.

Need to figure out how to track this over time in case they need to be rolled back, but it seems to work quite well overall.

Skills are cool, but they do remind me a lot of the early days of "prompt engineering is the future" before structured outputs, DSPy, reliable tool calling, etc.

They're super powerful, but hard to audit and scale down to weaker models. Only a matter of time before we end up back at "workflows".

The fact that the metacog mcp by @hikikomorphism.bsky.social works at all is incredible, that it seems to work so well is almost concerning.

One more piece of evidence that these things are very responsive to context and we probably don't know enough about that to use them in high-risk situations.

4.6 definitely better at testing, which I'd imagine is part of why it can take on longer duration coding tasks.

It was able to easily identify common threads in problems the 4.5-created testing harness failed to catch.

Anthropic clearly paying attention to verification signal discussions.

Took the full 70 question version, interestingly every time more questions have been added my score's actually gone down.

Would be curious to see if there are well defined clusters to these results. Can't be the only one who doesn't see the space angle as tightly coupled with the rest.

Someone make Pathom3 for agent tools already. Programmatic tool calling is cool and all, but there's so much that can be done with a few input/output annotations.
