Sen. Roger Marshall on Trump's health: "I'll work 110 hours a week. He outworks me. He's the first person I've ever known that works harder than I do. He runs around that golf course. He's in incredible shape right now. And you talk about sharp! He's playing 4 dimensional chess"

Especially if you plan to have kids. Parenting is a full contact sport. I did not realize how out of shape I truly was until becoming a dad at 34.
everyone says it for a reason: really important to lock in when it comes to fitness and health. just establishing good habits — regular exercise including strength training, eating a balanced diet — will pay huge dividends
Those who are 35+, what advice do you have for people just entering their 30s?

Every crisis is an opportunity. This is the moment for Dems on Capitol Hill to call a news conference and make clear: Not one dime to fund the federal government until Trump withdraws his unlawful orders and agrees not to send troops to occupy Democratic-run cities
The brave men and women who serve in our national guards must not be used as political props. This is a moment where every American must speak up and help stop this madness.

I know that with everything going on in Chicagoland today this may seem pedantic, but POTUS lacks the legal authority to rename the Department of Defense. Calling it by his preferred name is bending the knee.

This is absolutely absurd and unnecessary.
Probably 40+ border patrol some holding automatic weapons on South Michigan Avenue just now 12:20 pm. Fully masked. #NoIceInChicago. @icirr.bsky.social @indivisiblechicago.bsky.social

separate from everything, the idea that 2020 was a squeaker but 2024 represents a historical mandate will simply be the death of me

As ICE's masked paramilitaries continue their campaign of terror in Chicago and its suburbs, a reminder:

𝙂𝙀heime - secret
𝙎𝙏𝘼ats - state

Insanity inducing number of reports and sightings rolling in, including—you guessed it—agents over at 31st/Cicero again.

A car window smashed near Roosevelt and Cicero. Sightings in Wheeling, southwest side of Chicago, more in Cicero, Melrose Park, Blue Island.

The ring of fire is burning

As a Cardinals fan, I hate how much I like Rizzo as a player and human.
Anthony Rizzo, retiring as a Cub today, wearing a jersey signed by kids he’s visited over the years at Lurie Children’s Hospital.

16000 days ago (Oct 21, 1981), in a trade nobody notices because the Yankees are busy playing in the World Series, the Yanks send minor league OF Willie McGee to St. Louis for replacement-level lefty Bob Sykes. Sykes never throws another MLB pitch; McGee wins two batting crowns and an MVP award.

Truth. I wish I had invested in berry farms and water bottle factories before I had kids.

The Chamberlain speech in the 1993 Ted Turner movie “Gettysburg” of course

I still put out my flag this morning. Remember, this is the country that will send Trump and MAGA packing. Not yet. But then, we tolerated slavery for nearly a century.
