If you're curious who this Bad Bunny fellow is, performing at the Super Bowl Sunday, take ten minutes and watch his Carpool segment with James Corden. Sweet, self-effacing, decent — no wonder MAGA doesn't like him, and prefers Kid Rock singing about raping children.

Of course Trump admitted he meant to send the grotesque racist video about the Obamas. Of course he refuses to apologize. As I've long said, for a congenital liar, he can sometimes be very candid. It's almost a positive trait, if he weren't so disgusting.

If you are looking for something constructive to do in the wake of the Orange Enormity's spreading a grotesque racist meme, let me suggest reading Michelle Obama's "Becoming." It's especially good to hear her read it herself on Audible.

One tends to ignore most of Donald Trump's egregious actions. There are too many. But his recent amplifying of a racist meme about the Obamas is both beyond revolting and completely expected. He is, to quote Hunter S. Thompson about Nixon, "a swine of a man and a jabbering dupe of a president."

My column in the Sun-Times today. I was going to avoid the tawdry mess, but couldn't resist using that lede:

"Sure I'm in the Epstein files..."

Epstein files circus hides sex abuse horror in plain sight
The media can't ignore the ongoing carnival of wealth, power and celebrity. It can continually, however, miss the point.

Miss it? EIGHT years ago on EGD. Oddly, this echoes a theme in my Epstein files column today:

"The capacity for evil has to be stirred. Folks who are ripe targets for the stirring are people who are insecure --psychologically, financially, politically."

Geez. I've been posting on Facebook for 18 years. I could have learned to play the piano, and well, instead.

My friend Eric Zorn refers to Trump as a "childish, vindictive buffoon." I'm rather fond of my own trope, "liar, bully, fraud and traitor," though see the appeal of his.

Which do you prefer?

1. Donald Trump, "childish, vindictive buffoon."

or

Eric Zorn calls out the grotesque Republican hypocrisy, after scapegoating anyone who wasn't sufficiently broken up by Charlie Kirk's death, turning on a dime and cheerleading the murder of Alex Pretti and all but calling for more.
