The Maduro kidnapping, the demolition of the East Wing, the attempted renaming of the Kennedy Center and the Department of Defense, the deportation of graduate students, these are all the same story. Trump has completely rejected the rule of law. The only remedy is impeachment.

Julie K. Brown is a reporter for the Miami Herald who did groundbreaking work on Epstein beginning in 2018, including groundbreaking work on the disgusting coverup by Alex Acosta.

Her travel itinerary was released with some of the Epstein files. It appears the DOJ was monitoring her in 2019.

The State Department has just banned five Europeans from entering the U.S., falsely alleging they are involved in censorship of American citizens.

The only censorship here is coming from the Trump administration. My statement is below.

The State Department is taking decisive action against five individuals who have led organized efforts to coerce American platforms to censor, demonetize, and suppress American viewpoints they oppose. These radical activists and weaponized NGOs have advanced censorship crackdowns by foreign states—in each case targeting American speakers and American companies. As such, I have determined that their entry, presence, or activities in the United States have potentially serious adverse foreign policy consequences for the United States. Based on these determinations, the Department has taken steps to impose visa restrictions on agents of the global censorship-industrial complex who, as a result, will be generally barred from entering the United States. Further, based on the foreign policy determination, the Department of Homeland Security can initiate removal proceedings against certain individuals pursuant to INA section 237(a)(4)(C), which renders such individuals deportable. President Trump has been clear that his America First foreign policy rejects violations of American sovereignty. Extraterritorial overreach by foreign censors targeting American speech is no exception. The State Department stands ready and willing to expand today’s list if other foreign actors do not reverse course. These actions are pursuant to Section 212(a)(3)(C) of the Immigration and Nationality Act, which renders inadmissible any alien whose entry into the Unites States the Secretary of State determines “would have potentially serious adverse foreign policy consequences for the United States.” Certain family members may also be covered by these restrictions. In addition, Section 237(a)(4)(C) of the Immigration and Nationality Act renders an alien deportable from the United States if the Secretary of State has reasonable grounds to believe the alien’s presence or activities in the United States would have potentially serious adverse foreign policy consequences. The premise of this action is a years-long conspiracy theory promulgated by the Trump Administration and its allies. There is no such thing as a “censorship industrial complex,” as I explained in a Congressional hearing this April (https://www.congress.gov/119/meeting/house/118072/witnesses/HHRG-119-FA19-Wstate-JankowiczN-20250401.pdf). This lie originated with people who were professional internet trolls before they took up government positions. Now it’s government policy. As we’ve been tracking at The American Sunlight Project all year (https://americansunlight.substack.com/s/last-week-in-censorship), the Trump Administration has been taking a hatchet to the free expression rights of Americans and U.S. residents. Here, the Administration is barring entry to people who are using their own speech rights to advocate for an internet that reflects reality. They’re not doing this because they have any evidence of censorship—they lost a Supreme Court case that made those claims! They’re doing this because the group of researchers and advocates who have stood up liars like Donald Trump and the platforms that enable them because this community represents a formidable challenge to their power and their profit.   They cut off our access to data because they were worried that our findings would undermine them. They are using the legal system to keep us preoccupied and scared, to distract us from our work. They are trying to delegitimize us through alliances with unscrupulous media organizations. They have defunded and decried fact checkers because the facts aren’t on their side. They are threatening us because we are a threat to them.   And now, they’re barring brave advocates like Clare Medford and Imran Ahmed from the US for the same reasons. It’s meant to be a warning, but it only re-ups the conviction of this community to stand up in the face of what is the biggest censorship regime in modern American history.

News Team, Thank you for the notes and texts. I apologize for not reaching out earlier. I learned on Saturday that Bari Weiss spiked our story, INSIDE CECOT, which was supposed to air tonight. We (Ori and I) asked for a call to discuss her decision. She did not afford us that courtesy/opportunity. Our story was screened five times and cleared by both CBS attorneys and Standards and Practices. It is factually correct. In my view, pulling it now-after every rigorous internal check has been met is not an editorial decision, it is a political one. We requested responses to questions and/or interviews with DHS, the White House, and the State Department. Government silence is a statement, not a VETO. Their refusal to be interviewed is a tactical maneuver designed to kill the story. If the administration's refusal to participate becomes a valid reason to spike a story, we have effectively handed them a "kill switch" for any reporting they find inconvenient. If the standard for airing a story becomes "the government must agree to be interviewed," then the government effectively gains control over the 60 Minutes broadcast. We go from an investigative powerhouse to a stenographer for the state. These men risked their lives to speak with us. We have a moral and professional obligation to the sources who entrusted us with their stories. Abandoning them now is a betrayal of the most basic tenet of journalism: giving voice to the voiceless. CBS spiked the Jeffrey Wigand interview due to legal concerns, nearly destroying the credibility of this broadcast. It took years to recover from that "low point." By pulling this story to shield an administration, we are repeating that history, but for political optics rather than legal ones. We have been promoting this story on social media for days. Our viewers are expecting it. When it fails to air without a credible explanation, the public will correctly identify this as corporate censorship. We are trading 50 years of "Gold Standard" reputation for a single week of political quiet. I care too much about this broadcast to watch it be dismantled without a fight. Sharyn

In reality, it’s a publicly available fundraiser photo featuring Jackson and Ross’s own children.
