The great @timothysnyder.bsky.social explains why this new Trump-backed Ukraine plan sells out Ukraine, Europe, and democracies across the world. Take a few minutes and watch.

It is hard to put into words how much damage Trump is doing to our own country, how unfit and malevolent he is.
We have a US administration trying to bully Ukrainians into accepting Russia’s proposal that their sovereignty be undone. Aside from the naked injustice of this, there are five basic practical reasons why it would make the world far more dangerous.

Mark Kelly: "He's talked about sending troops into more cities, he's talked about invoking the Insurrection Act. You don't have to go too far back to his 1st administration when he went to his Sec Def & said, 'Can't we just shoot these protesters in the legs.' That is an example of an illegal order"

I know the meetings at the highest level of Harvard are like "But if we fire Larry Summers for sexually harassing a grad student and emailing with Jeffrey Epstein, we'd have to fire all the other 'distinguished professors' who did that too!"
I know that at this point it's a subplot in the Epstein files drama, but I feel compelled to point out, once again, that Larry Summers HAS NO BUSINESS teaching students at ANY university ever again!

My latest cries into the abyss, in @thenation.com

Why Is Larry Summers Still Employed?
The revelations about the economist’s attempts to pressure a women into a “relationship”—with guidance from Jeffrey Epstein—should finally disqualify him from teaching students.

The Trump administration planned to kick thousands of American seniors off of their disability benefits.

We pushed back — and now, they're backing off.

Public pressure works. Keep fighting back.
Social Security scraps plan to limit disability benefits after uproar
The policy would have fundamentally altered who qualifies for the two federal disability programs by eliminating or limiting a person’s age as a factor to consider.

This should be the norm. Everyone caught participating or looking away from the obvious sex trafficking should be forced to face serious consequences. If jail isn’t an option, losing their job should be.

Next up, the President.
