Just here avoiding the cesspool
Welp, it’s been a while, and…I can’t. Not that I don’t love you all, Bluesky (most of you, at least) but I only have so much mental bandwidth to devote to the coming apocalypse - and it’s being utilized elsewhere. Sorry, eh. #anybodybutPP #voteCanada

This twit again. Guarantee absolutely nobody in 🇨🇦 wants him “speaking” for us. Nice attempt to make him seem relevant. 🙄 Although…at least this rag mentions the boat accident? 🍷

So, today is the annual occurrence of the only day I used the X for anything - and I mean, of course, the near obsessive tracking of the #BarkleyMarathons.

Is Keith Dunn on here? 🤣

Posted this in a reply, but it bears repeating; upset about tariffs or want to readjust your spending? Support local, buy Canadian - it’s tempting to opt for cheaper goods at Walmart or wherever, but it rarely works out in the long run:

I couldn’t be happier to welcome my peeps to Bluesky! One of the best (in my almost decade of industry experience) breweries in the province, owned and operated by some awesome people. Welcome, @c12beer.bsky.social 😘🍻🎉
Boy, it feels great to be here :)
West Coast IPA lovers unite! This banger of a beer style is so good you'll only be able to focus on the explosion of fresh, piney flavours...and nothing else. Available in the taproom now and at your usual awesomely supportive craft beer stores in Victoria.

Imagine saying this about an agency that has helped millions of people around the world avoid malaria, obtain clean water, and gain access to food & health care. Especially when you’re the world’s richest man & your net worth is something like 20 times this agency’s annual budget. What a foul soul.

Look, I don't want to pretend that Americans actively care what Canadians think, but I'm genuinely taken aback to the extent to which very smart & calm people I know are saying the bilateral relationship is over. I don't think it's *over* but the idea of the US as a reliable ally is basically gone.

I'm struck by the near-total failure of leadership across civil society, in a country that fetishizes the concept. Whole sections of leadership books at every bookstore. Named, endowed "leadership" institutes and curricula across higher ed. Awards and special recognition for "leaders." AND YET
