You lying piece of shit. I chaired the Minnesota DFL for all three of your runs here. I watched you lose. Three times. Minnesota never bought your con. And now, as Chair of the DNC, I’m looking forward to ending Trumpism for good in 2028 — not with lies, but with votes. Again.
Trump: "I feel I won Minnesota. I think I won it all three times. Nobody has won it since Richard Nixon won it many many years ago. I won it all three times in my opinion. It's a corrupt state ... I did so well in that state. The people were crying every time after."

Richfield passed our legislative priorities last night, with the following addition from CM Walter Burk (approved 5-0).

It is regrettable that it is a "policy position" that the federal government should follow the law and decades-long norms of law enforcement. But here we are.

Got a moment to share your ideas for Penn Avenue? Richfield could use your help! (And you're welcome to share your thoughts whether you live in Richfield or not.)

This survey asks about preferences for bike lane design, on-street parking, and more. beheardhennepin.org/penn-avenue/...

Mamdani's model only works in a few places now, the most effective way for him to spread his ideas is to be a good mayor.
and that's ok!

it's ok for a socialist running against a former (Dem) governor to win without radically reshaping the electorate

it's ok to do just enough with mod-Dem base voters to win comfortably

we have a (sewer) socialist Mayor now and that rocks!

but it's not something bigger than that

We've actually just gone through this in Richfield. Starting in 2026, short term rentals must be for a 5 day minimum, and there's a cap of 100 licenses citywide. (We don't believe we currently have more than 100)

A ban was originally proposed, this was a compromise to allow some benefits to remain

Traffic laws are now photo-enforced in the City of Mpls. Five traffic safety cameras were placed on accident-prone streets and will now issue tickets for speeding - $40 or $80 depending on the speed.

This is a step towards encouraging behavior change to slow down drivers and keep our city safe.🚦

Q: Do you think it would've been fitting to lower the flags to half staff when Melissa Hortman, the Minnesota House Speaker, was gunned down by an assassin?

TRUMP: I'm not familiar. The who?

Beautiful transformation of a suburban collector route in Northfield — streets that formerly had one-side sidewalk and nothing for bikes, now have sidewalks on both sides and a generous, two-way protected bike lane.

This isn't just a political claim, it's an empirical one. If "the problem is not guns" then we shouldn't see any correlation between gun ownership and oh wait platform.vox.com/wp-content/u...

Bingo. If you've got good-faith ideas, send 'em over! I think a lot of the customer base of the businesses here is actually far-south Minneapolis (66th is the biggest commercial street south of Lake). They should tell us what they think!

Looking around, it's hard to avoid the conclusion that everyone -- and I mean everyone -- should have worked much harder to prevent Donald Trump from being elected.

This is in the DFL constitution and I literally noted that three Frey endorsers had the same issue. The point wasn't to call out the endorsers, it was to note one benefit to all of Fateh's opponents.
This is from the DFL constitution - were Fateh an endorsed candidate, Davis is a candidate running against a DFL-endorsed candidate.

I understand that there's nuance with RCV but I have never heard anyone say this doesn't count in an RCV jurisdiction.

If there's a city level thing that changes that, link me please. I was under the impression all party units had to follow state constitution.

I actually don't like this rule, and was perfectly happy to see you support Davis. But as far as I know, rule still applies.

(Frey also had three endorsements by DFL-endorsed candidates in this same cycle — Palmisano, Rainville, Vetaw)

DeWayne Davis seems like a great guy has a lot more to offer than being not-Frey. While this maybe hurts the not-Frey cause generally, I think it slightly helps him specifically.

The rules aren't very closely followed, but in theory Davis's DFL-endorsed endorsers should have withdrawn their Davis endorsement, if there were a legitimate endorsement for Fateh.

Without a mayoral endorsement, DFL electeds are free to support whoever they think would do the best job.

Richfield has a multi-step process for these major projects. This first open house is focused on "existing conditions" — a blank map of what's out there today, and people can share their ideas, and their complaints about what's not working well today.

Davis structurally had no reason to make a challenge when Frey was doing it anyway — it would irk his base for no benefit over what was happening anyway.

But Davis benefits the exact same as Frey does if the endorsement of Fateh is deemed illegitimate.

Again, the key fact here is that convention organizers lost 180 votes for mayor (23% of the total) and wrongfully dropped the third-place candidate. Without those errors it is difficult for there to have been a mayoral endorsement. The organizers ADMIT the errors, but argued to keep the result.
