SFF Addict. White trans gal with a case of the 'tism and an anarchist streak. Minors probably shouldn't follow.
Last Jedi.

Wrote the whole franchise into a corner and was deeply frustrating the entire time.
fun question: what’s the maddest you’ve ever been leaving a movie theater? not necessarily worst movie you’ve seen, but the one that just pissed you off the most. mine is Batman v Superman

I've been saying it for almost 6 months now, but the Democratic should have a standing daily press conference where they bring forth yesterday's victims of ice.

Every single day we aren't putting a victim of ice in front of the media. We're losing a day
“I don’t want to be in this place I want to go to my school.”

- 7 year old imprisoned by ICE for 70 days in a concentration camp in Texas.

Today, after @propublica.org published this story, the camp was raided to confiscate letters from the children.

every shot-on-video, made-with-a-camcorder horror movie that's just some teenage friend group fucking around in the woods with some fake blood and a monster mask contains more artistic merit, human joy and creative light than anything AI has ever made or will ever, ever make

olurinatti.bsky.social was right then, and the saddest, most frustrating thing is that the Democrats show absolutely no indication that they've learned anything in the intervening 4 years.
"Rather than address why their voters are disenchanted with the party, Democrats are doing what they always do—ignoring, blaming and criticizing their base and progressives who elect them, in favor of pandering to fair-weather white moderates and conservatives who won’t."

— Olayemi Olurin, in 2022
Democrats need to listen to the left
If Democrats want their voters to show up for them in the midterms, they need to keep their campaign promises and cater to their base.

Cyanoacrylate Super/krazy glue was originally developed as a kind of instant liquid stitches for battlefield wound dressing, and only later was it used as a general purpose adhesive.

"Bonds skin instantly" is not a bug, it is a very highly engineered feature.
Can you think of examples where people use technologies differently from what the developers intended, whether unintentionally or as an act of resistance?

Once again Zack Polanski and the Greens call it for what it is.

'Authoritarianism'

We've seen it with Palestine Action, Lammy's plan to curb Jury Trials....they keeps telling us what they are.
We should listen.

There are three issues in @zackpolanski.bsky.social’s piece

1. Exposing how transphobic this Labour “government” is.

2. Showing his support for trans people when we need it.

3. Exposing the Starmer regime’s dishonesty; how they pretend to be constrained by the Supreme Court when they are not.
Zack Polanski on how Keir Starmer could have changed the April 2025 UK Supreme Court ruling to protect trans rights (EXCLUSIVE)
Zack Polanski revealed how Keir Starmer could have acted to protect trans rights after April 2025 UK Supreme Court ruling.

Our culture loves toxic men and pushes their narratives while telling us that it is the only real source of meaning and i am so bored of it.

I just avoid most stuff like that now.
I say "himpathy simulator" about disco Elysium and people say "no but the main character in DE is very clearly an unlovable asshole".

And....

i agree that legal identity should not be gatekept by medical transition—whether hormonal or surgical—but framing that issue as one of validity does nothing short of actively downplay the harm caused by targeted attacks on transgender healthcare

"you don't need hormones to be trans" does not comfort any trans person who has been denied access to hormones and only serves to speak over their needs and frame them as responsible for wanting to be comfortable in their own bodies

I keep trying to get people to explain this to people.

There is no part of the Trump project that Labour isn't enthusiastically pursuing, with the exception that rather than building new camps we are either repurposing military bases or sending people to other nations for holding.
Brits lesser evil-ed Starmer into power and in the UK we now have the erosion of trans and disability rights, an arming of genocide, a ramping up of anti immigration rhetoric in Labour circles, widespread facial ID, etc etc
Counterpoint: if the Prince of Darkness rises from a fiery portal at the Iowa Caucus and declares his opposition to Donald Trump, I will ride to battle with the host of Hell

I think about this a lot.

The same people that cheer shows like Andor can’t agree with us that caging kids in concentration camps and police murdering people without cause is just wrong.

But swear we’re doing ‘leftism’ wrong b/c moral clarity in real life makes them uncomfortable.
Still just hard for me to grasp how they ignore that every great Black leader they reference was far to the left of Democrats.

Like, I know it’s cognitive dissonance…but you really have the nerve to talk down to us when you can’t even align politically with the heroes you champion??

It’s shameful.
If all the leftists are white, they can pretend their own people ain't been exposing some inconvenient truths the whole time

The only biosphere in the known universe capable of supporting human life is being turned into a hell planet because most of Earth's governments refuse to stop trying to satisfy the insatiable greed of a plutocracy composed of people who already have more money than they could spend in 20 lifetimes.
Point of no return: a hellish ‘hothouse Earth’ getting closer, scientists say
Continued global heating could set irreversible course by triggering climate tipping points, but most people unaware
