It's not really a coincidence that the people who freak out the most about Mamdani are also the people most feverishly opposed to anything, anything at all being done to punish Israel behavior that virtually everyone agrees is bad

Can't thank @thedigradio.bsky.social enough for teaching me about Palestine, Israel, and Zionism. This interview with Mohammed El-Kurd hit me the hardest thanks to its more personal tone, but also great are: Mouin Rabbani, Richard Seymore, and Ussama Makdisi.

Starting July 25, Bluesky will require users in the UK to scan their face, upload an ID or verify their identity with a bankcard.

I realize that platforms feel they have no choice but to comply with the government surveillance schemes, but shocking nonetheless.

I have been screaming for publicly owned grocery / agriculture infrastructure for years (UBI for food would build community, take pressure off of people's budgets, & solve the foodbank crisis).

the NDP/Libs/Cons tax break pissing match in the election was infuriating. THINK BIGGER. DO BETTER.
In New York, #ZohranMamdani built a multi-generational populist movement promising to freeze the rent, provide free buses, and establish publicly-owned grocery stores — and won.

Could that happen in #Canada?

ICE agents acting like the most after-school-PSA stereotype of creepy child-predators imaginable, what a surprise
A local NYC baseball coach says he fended off ICE agents during a recent practice.

Youman Wilder said caught feds questioning youth about where they're from & country of origin, so, he told feds to back off & kids to not answer!

Shoutout all of our local heroes!

Unbelievable statement an ICE agent told a man who collapsed after being handcuffed following his immigration hearing.
The overzealous agents had the wrong man & would have kidnapped him had his attorney not insisted in reviewing the arrest warrant.

The man was just exiting from the courtroom with his attorney when an agent grabbed his arm and several more surrounded him.
