These are all people who wanted to kill their enemies before Charlie Kirk was shot, are more vocal about it now, and will keep lusting for it long after Charlie Kirk has been buried. Today’s biggest event could have been a dog farting and they would have reacted by wanting you dead.

Celebrated my brother's birthday early and we got to talking about my completist obsession with our PS 1 RPGs from over 20 years ago. I'd spend hundred of hours completing FF VII, VIII, IX; Suikoden I and II; Valkyrie Profile, Xenogears. I would play and my brother would just watch

One of the advantages of having a sister within walking and biking distance is that I can borrow her spare key whenever I leave my keys at home. So guess what I did just now (I am old but thankfully inside)

Trump has perfected the art of Pareto Worsening, a change in allocation making at least one person worse off without making a single person better off.

When it first opened, I was trying to get a ticket online for like a month. Even corralled my best friend to apply as well, but too many ppl wanted tickets. One of my regrets is not visiting when I had the chance 🥲 I hope it gets more funding!
Literally every Black person who comes to DC visits the NMAAHC and it’s a big source of pride among a very broad swathe of people. Censoring the work there won’t be as frictionless as people imagine.

This is going to get worse, not better. Never underestimate the American public’s thirst for performative cruelty towards The Other: defendants, foreigners, anyone they’ve been conditioned to see as less than human. We’re the country that made lynchings into picnics.

This, I think, is what smart people have such trouble accepting: that morons can succeed perfectly well in US politics. When a GW Bush or a Trump rises all the way to the top, it doesn't mean they're secretly smart, it means our corrupt, desiccated system is defenseless against venal morons.
