What a beautiful bright sunny day! It was perfect to see the detail on the magnificent Muiredach’s Cross at Monasterboice.

The cross is the finest example in the country (in my subjective opinion!). A masterpiece of 10th century Irish art.

The Trondheim Sun Chariot is dated to the Early Bronze Age, approximately 1400 BC. The spiral decorations on its golden sun disc indicates its Nordic origin. The Sun Chariot represents the sun's eternal journey, drawn by a divine horse. The sun and horse....🧵1/2
