These will probably be the types of projects government will tout as the reason for Bill 15. And no, it shouldn’t take 23 years to build a school! No one wants that.

Eby claiming Bill 15 is what the public wants is actually egregious, given how the bill enables gov to bypass mandatory public comment from the EA process. Evoking the public while simultaneously enabling his gov to eliminate public voices from critical processes is a baffling move.

Bumping this post from a couple months ago — the current manifestation of BC’s power-grabbing villain era was apparent and thinly veiled from the start of this session.
It’s hard to understand what their North Star is, other than to maintain their power at all costs by leaning into the U.S. tariff threats as an excuse to appease industry by fast tracking a lot of projects with minimal consideration to env’l impacts.
