This article was written for the future, not for the present. The future, when many complicit media organizations will be telling you they were never on board with any of this stuff back in 2025; Vanity Fair can stake a claim now that they tried while it was happening
This is legendary journalism.

Just now, a national trans healthcare felony ban for youth has passed the US House, with 10 year prison terms.

3 Dems crossed party lines to vote to jail providers.

4 GOP crossed party lines to vote against.

It is not expected to pass the Senate, where Dems hold filibuster power.

Story to come.

Wrong. In fact, a majority with floor crossers is arguably *more* legitimate.

I'm sure that Canada's premier journalist, Rosemary Barton, asked Carney directly about this in her latest hard hitting interview: www.cbc.ca/news/politic...

no? Instead we're focused on floor crossing like it's a reality TV episode? coooooooooooool good job Canada

Prime Minister Mark Carney suggested there is still "a spectrum of MPs" enticed by his brand of governing, as the Liberals teeter on the edge of a majority after last week’s surprise floor-crossing.

I feel so awful for the French to English translator on this NDP debate. When the French is incomprehensible, how do you translate?

I also hate I can’t just listen to it in the language they are speaking. I understand both. Let me listen to both without translation. @ndp.ca

Tuning into @ndp.ca debate a bit late

15 minutes in and the only person who seems to understand they are running for a federal leadership is @avilewis.ca

And the French is just… how do you honestly run for leadership when you cannot even speak the bare minimum of one Canadas official languages.

While I knew the budget was going to pass (no one wants an election), I am so torn on the NDP being the ones to essentially pass it by abstaining…
