I'm very upset with Bluesky for what it's been doing lately but this is correct. Image classification for moderation purposes is a good use of machine learning, and training a classification ML model doesn't allow it to create new content based on training data ('stealing' artwork).
This is going around again and it is not true. Like every site on the internet, Bluesky uses machine learning to do a first-pass approximation of image classification to detect and label content. They have repeatedly confirmed outside services do not use Bluesky user data to train their models.

Every age verification bill has the same core purpose: to stop kids from getting help when their parents, the people around them, all the people that are supposed to be "safe" abuse them. That's the whole reason, full stop. They want to make it harder for kids to recognize when they're being abused.
