Never let a machine make an emotional decision for you as a creator. Let it do math, fill out crowds, or fill out spreadsheets. Don't let it make storytelling choices. Don't let it draw what belongs to your imagination. Those decisions take experience, intuition, imagination, fear, hope, and daring.
i don't think there's any way to overstate how much we're going to regret this entire cultural moment in the future, for how it's destroying our creative lives, destroying respect for art, destroying respect for creativity and the creative process, destroying our ability to connect to art.
my college kid was heartbroken when on the first day of class the professor said "I used to spend 3 weeks teaching this part, but just have AI create it for you and we'll skip it." Skipping the most creative part of the work. The part my kid most looked forward to.
