Appreciate that folks lift up the Panthers. Black groups pre-dating the Panthers were also doing community patrols. See one example here: nmaahc.si.edu/object/nmaah...

Joshua Clark Davis's Police Against the Movement offers some other examples too.

When you are on parole, your freedom constantly feels in peril, especially when a group of men at work harass you over your incarceration.

And please advocate for resources for the victims. Federal funding is dwindling for a lot of DV organizations. Housing, financial assistance will all be gone unless people continue to advocate for funding policies.
Please don't abandon your friends that are in abusive relationships. It will take them even longer to get out if you do. The cycle is real.

I don't think people understand the stress of your whole lifeline of income being mismanaged by people who a) aren't disabled and b) do not care about what it means.

In late 2025, the FDA warned companies that make and sell chest binders that their products could be seized and their sales could be halted if they continued to market them as a treatment for gender dysphoria. Read @hallielieberman.bsky.social on what that means for trans customers:
FDA Targets Gender-Affirming Garments, Warning Companies that Serve Trans Customers
At least 12 companies received letters from the agency stating that the gender-affirming compression garments are medical devices and require compliance with strict federal regulations.

Men aren’t born with a propensity to commit acts of sexual violence. It is socialized behavior, often learned through abuse itself. Take fraternities and hazing as one example. The slightly older students beat the younger ones and the cycle continues year after year. Sports teams, armies, the same.

I’ve seen a lot of reactionary viral content in recent years along the lines of “men should be born in prison and prove their way out” and while I get where that’s coming from, I also think gender essentialism and viewing abusiveness as innate is a huge problem + deflection from how prevention works

Disgusting.
