I haven’t been creatively motivated / driven in some time, but one of my favorite things to do is take a selfie at every AMC movie I go to. I titled the series after a line in the Nicole Kidman pledge of allegiance, “because here, they are”. It’s my very own On Kawara-like practice.
You know that scene in “Rosemary’s Baby” where Ro tells her two neighbors it’s the first day of her period and she’s feeling crumby… is that when they start tracking her cycle and know when to do the very disturbing deed? I watch this movie once a year and unlock a new theory every time.

The Trump administration is set to impose duties of 107% on Italian pasta imports, among most punitive of the tariffs it has levied.

We went to Mr. Submarine for dinner and it did not disappoint! The ads worked on me.
I’ve never been to a Mr. Submarine but have been wildly fascinated by them for years. These commercials are nuts and actually working on me.

Speaking from experience, Anish Kapoor can turn down any artwork proposed for the park that would reflect on Cloud Gate. Also per the Blockclub article, he can also ::sue:: "anyone who uses his artwork in a way he doesn't like". Something tells me he's not going to like this.
You guys, a bunch of them pulled their masks down for the photo op in front of Cloud Gate.

The photo op came after agents tear-gassed a Little Village street and were spotted in the area numerous times. At the Bean, one agent shouted, "Everyone say, 'Little Village!'"

You can literally find good used vintage Coach bags all over Poshmark and eBay. We don't need new Coach bags. We have enough on the planet already.
Leather bags from fashion brand Coach allegedly made from the hides of cows illegally ranched on deforested land in Brazil, an Earthsight investigation reveals.

The only thing that made it possible for me to quit my toxic art world job was that I could get healthcare through ACA. This is how they keep us in shitty, toxic, low-paying jobs. And how they keep us sick.

I don't know what I did to deserve this, but bsky is now serving me random photos of dudes lifting weights, often with their shirts off. Nothing about my usage of this site would indicate a desire for this content, but here we are.

I feel like we are weeks away from Pope Leo protesting in front of Broadview with the clergy who are already out there doing the Lord’s work.
"Pope Leo said Scripture emphasizes the question that will be posed at the end of the world:
'How did you receive the foreigner, did you receive him and welcome him, or not? I think there is a deep reflection that needs to be made about what is happening'..."

Pope Leo calls for ‘deep reflection’ about treatment of detained migrants in U.S.
“Many people who have lived for years and years and years, never causing problems, have been deeply affected by what is going on right now,” Chicago-born pope says.

They drove past our place in Heart of Chicago about 15 minutes ago. God bless the honking cars surrounding the caravan and all the neighbors who ran out with our whistles. Between folks filming, making noise, and calling in to ICIRR, we’re keeping us safe.
Ald Byron Sigcho-Lopez is currently livestreaming himself and others following the CBP caravan and honking to alert people: instagram.com/sigchofor25/live/18083859809067765

As a museum worker who worked at the Smithsonian, I am obsessed with how bad the Louvre’s security is. Like the heist was done by a former guard, they don’t have cameras in all the galleries, they have poor password health, the thieves walked in wearing high-vis vests and did a smash and grab.
Louvre security will be upgraded. The password is now L0uvr3.
The Louvre's video security password was reportedly 'Louvre'
Oh dear. It may not have had anything to do with the jewel robbery, but audits of the Paris museum's security system have revealed glaring issues that go back years.
