My old nsfw art account on the former Twitter got hacked and I have never encountered a less helpful platform in my life. Anyway, anything out of saiyanshewolfxx on the site formerly known as Twitter is not associated with me.
To follow up on this: Von ended up getting a goddamn Ring of Three Wishes in the shopping episode and (not knowing what he’d gotten) starting bitching about the current BBEG, and said “I wish that bitch would just die already.”
D&D tonight. Von & Misery had a whip fight. Misery is now 75% sure the snarky book they’re toting around is actually the Library of Mephistopheles. Evil elf wizard lady is apparently creating a clone of herself and already has 3 Simulacrums. Little bit of a shopping episode.

Saw a photo of my nephew in his college dorm and unexpectedly burst into tears.

Reading ‘Love Only Once’ by Johanna Lindsey to continue my regency kick. First page of chapter 1 Selena Eddington is described as wearing a rose-colored gown that suits her beautifully. Page 24, it’s apparently NOT one of her colors, and she finds it contemptible. Could be a perspective thing.

I had a coffee drink at 8 this morning, finished it before noon, and I’m still up cleaning like a crazy person at almost midnight. I can’t remember the last time I did this.

We're relieved to learn yesterday’s announcement was a misunderstanding, not a change to public access.
The National Archives preserves our shared history and ensures the people’s right to know. That mission matters more than ever. x.com/usnatarchive...

We don’t know exactly what this means, but if it means what it seems like it means, it's very bad.
"Effective July 7, 2025, the National Archives will become a restricted-access federal facility with access only for visitors with a legitimate business need..."

I'm not going to do a global political analysis right now.

I am going to tell you that I'm just old enough to remember the last time we had this same stupid fucking war, and tell anyone under 30: Do not enlist in the military. They will ruin your life and they do not care. Please don't do it.

Every flashbang could instead be a meal for a poor kid. Every hotel room for a National Guardsman deployed to fire at our neighbors could house a homeless vet. Every "less-than-lethal" bullet pulled from a journalist's eye could be already needed healthcare for anyone else. All of this is a choice.

Chat does anyone know how a city like LA might react when provoked over racial tensions and cops attacking people? Does anyone have any relevant historical parallels they could draw?

I’m gonna need our new baby Thor to calm tf down. She keeps hissing and swatting at Loki through the glass door. Loki has been an only cat for almost a decade, and her only reaction to Thor’s little tantrums is bewilderment and the occasional hiss, but I really want them to get along

I’ve been reading SO MUCH Georgette Heyer, but I am a fantasy girl at heart, and I can’t stop shoving my D&D characters into Regency settings in my head.

Keep forgetting I have this. I’ve been reading a lot of Georgette Heyer novels recently. I think I’ll read the Bridgerton books afterward to see how they compare.

Advisory board meeting tonight. I have such god awful impostor syndrome. I come home and stress for hours about my tone of voice, how I phrased things, if I made sense…
