So today I thought I maybe made progress in my crow befriendment project buuuut maybe not? Because of bird drama!
Spotted a crow pair messing with something under a tree in the park. When I got close I called out “hi crows!” and tossed them some dog treats. They both hopped over to get treats…

One of my New Year’s resolutions is to befriend a crow. I’ve been tossing them dog treats from my pocket, which they clearly really like. How can I tell if I’m on the path to having a new crow friend, short of shiny crow gifts showing up at my door? The year is half over, do I need to step it up?

This place really reminds me of when the power goes out and everyone comes out into the street to mill around and someone starts barbecuing sausage because otherwise it will go bad and people are just drinking beer and having a good time because you know no one needs to work tomorrow.
