Same. I follow who I want to see but please, nobody ever feel like following back should be your first choice. I contain multitudes. Frustrating, sometimes horrible, annoying multitudes. Wish I could pin this.

MDSO paid GeoSpy to make a custom model focused on the Miami-Dade area. This, GeoSpy says, makes the results more accurate. Requires more data collection, R&D, etc www.404media.co/cops-are-buy...

Notepad++ popped.

The new Windows 11 Notepad (that's essentially Wordpad with that MDI) got popped.

Folks embedding exploits in vscode extensions, and in claude skills or whatever they're called.

Now more than ever it'd be great to have vim on every default Windows install.

how bad do you have to fuck up to allow an exploit in fucking NOTEPAD
The AI features added to Notepad created a critical exploit vulnerable to loading a compromised txt file.

The fix is part of Patch Tuesday, so update your systems.

AI is not a feature I ever desired in Notepad. I should look into some alternatives...
AI-upgraded Notepad now exposes Windows users to critical exploit
A critical remote code execution vulnerability found in the AI-upgraded Windows 11 Notepad has fueled renewed criticism of Microsoft's forced AI feature creep.

"AI can create a much more efficient binary than any compiler" is what someone says when they never acknowledge any externalities at all. What power did you use to figure that out?

I don't know how people keep up with that guy's shit. It's probably 100 posts a day as poorly thought out as that one.

Ring’s national expansion closely tracked Amazon’s own established growth strategy: ignoring near term profit to secure platform dominance. It did this by subsidizing the devices through police-driven distribution (literally free giveaways for people willing to download its neighborhood snitch app)
They badly bungled this. There are many applications of this technology (Missing child! Missing dementia patient! Abusive ex-husband kidnapped the kids! Dzhokhar Tsarnaev!) that most people would likely support if they trusted the company not to abuse the tech. 1/2

Hadn't heard of Delilah Bon but this came up recommended on youtube.

Good song. I like how she used sound clips.

It is insane to me we are in a cultural moment where manufacturers are finally realizing that oh, yeah, we should put buttons back in the cars, and yet Rivian is forging ahead with two software-defined toggle wheels on the steering wheel and touchscreens. While also still refusing to add CarPlay lol

Just remembered that I learned about Flashdance from Snoopy and about Star Wars from Muppet Babies before ever seeing those movies.

I wonder what weird stuff like that goes on now. Does Peppa Pig talk about Sinners?
