🧵 THREAD: A federal whistleblower just dropped one of the most disturbing cybersecurity disclosures I’ve ever read.

He's saying DOGE came in, data went out, and Russians started attempting logins with new valid DOGE passwords

Media's coverage wasn't detailed enough so I dug into his testimony:

Gentle reminder, because it's already April 1st in some places.

I love seeing stuff like this. Not only is it a really neat bit of research, it is potentially extremely helpful, AND it's been peer reviewed.

Plus I can feel the excitement, and even a moderately dead-brained pleb like me can understand how it roughly works and it's implications.

Wonderful. 😊🎖️🎉
THIS IS HUGE! Researchers at Stanford University have developed a dual-antibody treatment that remains effective against ALL SARS-CoV-2 variants by targeting a less-mutable part of the virus. This breakthrough could lead to longer-lasting therapies that OUTPACE viral evolution. 🧪🧵⬇️

Justin Sevakis On Classic Anime And The Future Of AnimEigo
Back in February, it was announced that AnimEigo would be bought by MediaOCD, run by Justin Sevakis. Nearly a year later, I caught up with him to see how he’s been doing.

If you have a personal (non-business) Paypal account in the US, Paypal will be selling info on your purchases starting next summer unless you tell them to go f*** themselves.

Here's how to opt-out, since they automatically opted you in (except in CA, ND, VT where your gov't cares about privacy)
In 2025 (less than 30 days away), PayPal will start selling your transaction history for targeted advertising.

I very highly recommend logging into your account and going to Settings > Data & Privacy > Personalized Shopping.

If you're reading this, turn that off RIGHT NOW before you forget.

Ah, joyous...
As Bluesky has seen a gigantic influx, so have all the bots, scammers and other grifters also come pouring in.

Beyond all the placeholder account stubs, there are already a bunch of content mill 'artists' making profiles. The same scams I get constantly cold-called on discord.
