I would never do the "Here comes the airplane" bit to feed my child. Embarrassing for us both. I would calmly explain the importance of adequate nutrition and they will yield to unimpeachable logic

River knows where we keep the remotes and he can reach them and is learning to work them. Scary. Good thing he’s such a good boy. He’s chill about it.

It would be so funny to switch toddlers with someone for a month. Just to see what it’s like. Give the kids a new world to explore. Idk

Hunter Boots is having a "winter sale" but I would recommend: do not buy anything on sale. Just buy the "original tall rain boots" which are not included in that sale. They are the best.

Did you know? Books and prints should be exempt from tariffs. Have the sender write this tariff code on the package: 4901.10.00 is for prints and books. You can see the fee is "FREE" on the harmonized tariff schedule, here: hts.usitc.gov/search?query...

Got hit by tariffs for some prints from Japan. Luckily the cost was very small. BUT I am a little mad because the prints should be exempt from tariffs. Until now everything has cleared without a fee.

A common experience with toddler is: It’s quiet and you know they’re getting into trouble and you find them and they are!!

When I read about terrible things in the news the Trump administration does I think about my mom and how she will never not support them. A few chats with her this year have really killed me.

To me what’s great about the USA is the rule of law, everyone has rights and protections, and it could never get to the point where police even think they can pick you up and jail and deport you for nothing.
We’re finally reacting the crisis point where all legal recourse has been stripped away. What do you do when you show your birth certificate and they say no, then the courts tell them yes and they still say no?
“They’re denying that any of her birth certificates, which are from Laurel, Maryland, her records of immunization, medical records — they’re denying the authenticity of them. It is something I’ve never encountered.” www.huffpost.com/entry/us-cit...

This is insane. The guy who shot Charlie Kirk was a gamer bro American born citizen from a MAGA family. The government didn’t punish Discord users, or Helldivers 2 players, or white MAGA families. This is wrong!!

A really smart thing Apple TV does is: they give me a notification when their show I'm watching has been released. I only get these notifications for Pluribus and I like that.

Wow! Huh! Ya know I love everything Miyazaki does but using a character who isn't in the movie as your main poster art is... unconventional!!! LOL

Who is this little girl on the screensaver for Totoro on HBO max??? Did someone amalgamate one character based on the two different characters in the movie?

1) meeting other kids at art camp and seeing what was possible, how you could make big projects happen for your ideas, in many ways, with creativity & effort & time - which i was capable of!
2) art comix like "hey wait" by jason which showed you could craft a unique voice from simple ingredients
With all this awful news going on i wanna ask this question once again to fellow artists and general creatives. What got YOU into art? what sparked that motivation to start writing? what made you wanna pick up a camera and start taking pics? Like share with us your reasons.

“At last — and we are lucky in this — Bunderwal’s style, which consists of slander and vituperation, can be contrasted with my own dignity and restraint. I still must point out his oily skin and over-large buttocks; they indicate a bent for high living and even a tendency toward peculation. ”

Watching Spider-Man Homecoming: when his date’s dad opened the front door, the whole theatre gasped and held their breaths together - it was such a great fun dramatic reveal. Then the whole car ride, too. That was a good singular collective emotion, experienced with a packed room.
Raising the always fun question: What are your most memorable theater-going experiences?

Mine also include The Matrix, Blair Witch, and being way too stoned in Belgium when Fellowship of the Ring was sold out so we sat in the back row for Mulholland Drive instead.
It was hands-down one of the most memorable theater-going experiences I can remember, a collective 30-minute butt-clench/armrest-grab for the final climb. And we knew he lived! Wild.

Currently rushing through chores with Sayaka while River naps. Weird reality of having a toddler is that this nap time is so precious and never long enough

I figured out the issue. Most movies' Japanese Audio versions are missing only in the kids' section. So when we watch under an adult's profile, we can find them. When I have it on the kids' profile, they're missing. @hbomax.bsky.social I know you're busy but please fix this.
Ghibli films with Japanese audio are missing…. Not all, but it’s a strange assortment that’s available. No Japanese Kiki’s Delivery Service! 😭
