Dude yeah. I love them too. That’s a great comparison… I always feel like I have to warn people that the book is “kinda sexist” but it’s not a deal breaker for me in the way some similar books are.

And just to reiterate I do this for parents because I have felt parenting is very isolating and anxious and other parents can be such a beautiful lifeline. For me! In my experience.

I don’t do this in all aspects of my life but for parents at kid spaces I really try - again because I have felt bad when I felt ignored. Also this is my effort to like uh model good behavior to my child - I think it’s good to say hello and introduce yourself to people when you meet them.

So that’s why I have a weird rule for myself which is that I try to greet and be friendly to everyone who joins the space when I’m there. Say hello, say good morning, maybe make chat if they’re up for it. I especially try to remind myself to do this when I’m talking to other parents I already know.

I think you gotta post it, use threads and hashtags, and accept that some people won’t see it. Keep the posts up and people will find it later. Link to your old threads later!
