Feds militarized invasion of Minnesota must stop now.
Walz: "It's a campaign of organized brutality against the people of our state, and today that campaigned claimed another life. I've seen the video from several angles and it's sickening. But I have a strong statement here for our federal govt: Minnesota's justice system will have the last word."

Always remember, there are more of us than there are of them. We’re taking this country back.
Here's a time-lapse from yesterday as thousands of people marched through downtown Minneapolis to protest ICE.

Something is deeply wrong if we, as a society, cannot agree that an administration that snatches up children, uses them as bait to hunt down others, is morally repulsive.
They want to tell you a kid with a Spider-Man backpack is evil
Liam Ramos' innocence, like the innocence of all kids, is unimpeachable. The visuals of his arrest are excruciating.

I was at the interfaith protest in Minneapolis today. Here are some of the shots I took.

Something deeply wrong about loading up zip tied faith leaders onto a bus for their ‘crime’ of peacefully protesting the violent abduction of their neighbors.

“Everybody Showed Up”: Stunning Crowds at Minnesota Day of Strike and Shutdown Against ICE
Extreme cold didn't stop the shutdown on Friday as some 100 faith leaders were arrested, residents stayed home from work, and an estimated 50,000 or more marched through downtown Minneapolis.

Is @startribune.com a rare legacy media outlet rising to this moment? Front-page focus and design are superb - a quick scan of headlines tells the story of the real human impact of ICE, as well as the Fed’s breadth of criminality and depth of cruelty, and Minnesotan’s response to it.

"Aides to Todd Blanche directed the U.S. Atty’s office and FBI agents based in MN to shut down a civil rights investigation into an officer’s fatal shooting of Renee Good and instead alter it to probe Good for possible criminal liability, according to three people briefed on the discussions."

My loose info so far is that the Minneapolis General Strike today had about 80 unions sign on, and it might be one of the biggest labor actions in decades depending on your definition

Prediction: Ice Out MN in -8 degrees will replace The Halloween Blizzard as the most often referenced weather touchpoint of Minnesotans.

This is an elected member of Congress & the GOP saying that he welcomes a war against another nuclear power who is literally our oldest ally & with whom we have a formal treaty military alliance.

Congrats again on that National Conversation™️ about which party has moved further from the center 🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️
Rep. Greg Steube: "You see Macron and the French sending troops to Greenland. I would love to see the US military up against French troops in Greenland, because it would not last very long. It would be a very small skirmish ... we don't care about what Macron and the French want."

You must realize Minnesotans love nothing more than the being recognized for how special we are. The more we’re acknowledged for it, the more we lean in.
I know people keep saying this but it’s hard to communicate the depth of active resistance here. Like, I’m on random cafes and people are checking in for observation shifts. Signs everywhere. Folks in visibility vests on the corners. It’s wild. Absolutely wild.

We’re being asked to believe that undocumented immigrant populations in MN (~100K) and ME (~6K) include disproportionately more “worst of the worst” criminals than TX (~1.9M) and FL (~1.2M) & therefore require large ICE deployments?

Like shooting citizens in the face, ignoring the 4th amendment and entering without warrants, detaining anyone (citizen or not) without due process or accepting ID. So much more. This is the time to resist before we can’t.
