Incredible analysis by @clrenney.bsky.social . Government health funding in NZ has dropped by 4.5% per person in real terms over the last year. Don't fall for their "record spending on health" spin. They are cutting cutting cutting

Not a good look for you @nzpolice.bsky.social C'mon. Safer Communities Together???

I've run JazzUp Jazz Jam at Good Times since Nov 2021. It's a great place, Pip is the best host ever. It's safe, clean and happy.

NZ Police, you are being petty

Why not just go all the way David and just tell us you're the second coming
Biblically he was a refugee, insisted people paid their taxes, took a strong objection to the finance industry, and was an excellent caterer at scale. He also fell victim to over-zealous law and order polices.

So I doubt it, David.

Ōtautahi peeps, check out the JazzUp Jazz Jam. We have some amazing local talent.

We're into our 4th year. This Tuesday 4 Feb 7pm, we kick off 2025.

No cover charge, get a drink at the bar, be surprised and often dazzled. At Good Times Comedy Club, 224 St Asaph Street.

ACT party STILL proudly promoting their paedophile on their website next morning. Just so no one is confused about how close David Seymour is to this monster

We trusted the Ministry of Regulation to come up with the most complicated bill submission process and they have not failed us
Submitting on Seymour's Regulatory Standards bill.
The process he designed is full of leading questions & feels straight out of the Curia/ Farrar push poll playbook.
Better to email a submission. Mine will be short & sweet.

Just a fairly average Kiwi without any special insight, but like most average Kiwis I believe in fairness and I despise self-serving politicians.

Here's my submission on the Treaty Principles Bill. You're welcome to ignore it or borrow from it. Just get yours in by Jan 7th

This is outrageous. The Nats didn’t campaign on it, nor was it signalled in the Minister’s consultation. Our polytechs are part of our PUBLIC education infrastructure and there is no way that they should be up for sale.

Polytech sales possible but unlikely when Te Pūkenga disestablished - minister
In a surprise move, the sale of polytechnics will be on the table when the national institute of technology Te Pūkenga is disestablished.

The brilliant Arena Williams, MP for Manurewa, describes the $$$ benefit that Winton will gain, much of it from rate/taxpayers. Us, in other words.
The Hansard transcript is here too - it’s appalling stuff.

Winton donated around $100k to the National Party, just as an aside.

We’re supposed to be a democracy, right?

So the questions I have are:
Where’s the democratic consensus for shit canning smoke-free NZ? The ferries? The hospital? School lunches? Road safety? Environmental protections + mining bans? Māori wards? Te reo? TE TIRITI?

Another great piece by John Campbell, this time about water. A follow up story would be how the likes of the TPU misled Kiwis with disinformation to derail Labour’s 3 Waters & how NAct First’s inaction will see our water infrastructure sold to overseas companies. www.1news.co.nz/2024/03/23/j...
John Campbell: New Zealand’s water infrastructure is in the poo
Opinion: The cost of fixing our water problems is mind-blowing. But the price of ignoring them? Devastating.

I want followers from NZ to quietly reflect on all this. There's no one else in NZ from a "shithole country" doing a disinfo mahi, & thus able to say, with grounded evidence, & lived experience, that what women now face in NZ online is comparable to, & often even worse than the context back home.
