The amount of Beautiful Mind math being done to explain away an obvious Nazi salute is really amazing. It's all backwards, too. You don't have to "know what's in someone's heart" to interpret a Nazi salute, the Nazi salute is there *to communicate to you* what is in the person's heart

Em dashes are for when I can't decide what punctuation to use or can't remember what to use or as a little treat.
Almost every writer I've edited uses too much em dash and they all use it incorrectly or egregiously, and I will die on this hill.
Apparently folks think that writing that contains an em dash is a dead giveaway that it's from ChatGPT, which I guess is a sign that most people have never read anything in their lives.
