I don't care much about non-voter culpability but I have to point out that getting angry with someone chastising non-voters, engaging with the rhetoric from a pro not voting stance and then saying "lol I voted idiot" as a gotcha is rapidly entering my top five list for cringe Bluesky behavior.

The only reason a person should be responding to optimism, calls for action, or celebration of wins with "crimes don't matter", "voting? that's cute", or "enjoy martial law" is if that's the future they want, if they want Trump to be normalized. Block them.

I'm about three more posts away from blocking anyone who says martial law. I've read like a dozen posts about it today from people who legitimately think Trump is in a position to declare it, and that somehow it just will magically subjugate the whole country over night. Like, fuck. Come on.

If someone has spent the last three weeks angrily demanding protests, Dem electeds standing up, and major legal action, and instead of amplifying those things when they happen they move the goal and pretend nothing has happened, they aren't an ally, they are grifting you for engagement.

Today my least favorite doomer vibe is the ides that if Trump/Musk said they expect a certain result for a wild and crazy action, that's the 100 percent guaranteed result and it isn't worth discussing.
Mainly in regards to "no they aren't making mistakes they WANT chaos!". Both things can be true.
